This section will discuss the importance of an effective property management process that will assist to better plan and manage their housing needs while maintaining existing housing in good condition. Sample property management plans and yearly and long term financial planning examples are included.
Performance
This section will include the evaluation of the Housing Manager, staff and of the contractors providing service for the First Nation Housing Department.
Personnel
This section will discuss the personnel needs for maintaining the housing portfolio. This will include sample Job descriptions and training resources for the housing manager.
Quality Control
This section will provide tools to ensure that quality in the housing portfolio is built and maintained to building code standards and inspections are conducted during renovations and construction.
Renovation
This section incorporates a portion of the property management plan for long term forecasting of renovations required for the housing portfolio.
